Weekly Momentum Report: Risers and Fallers

FantasyMover's weekly editorial summary of the biggest fantasy football risers and fallers, built from live ADP, projection, and trend data.

Welcome to the first installment of the FantasyMover Weekly Momentum Report. Every week we take the platform's live ADP, projection, and trend data and turn it into a plain-English read on which players are rising, which are falling, and which moves you should actually care about. No hot takes — just the signal underneath the noise.

This week's biggest risers

Three names jumped multiple tiers in the last seven days based on combined ADP movement, projection lift, and target-share trend. The thread connecting all three: opportunity. Each is stepping into a larger role because of an injury, a depth-chart change, or an offseason scheme shift that's now showing up in beat-writer reporting.

  • RB1 — Backfield consolidation behind a clear lead back. ADP up two full rounds in standard formats; goal-line share trending toward 70%+.
  • WR2 — Slot-to-X conversion in OTAs is showing up in projected route share. Target volume is the leading indicator we trust most this early in the cycle.
  • TE3 — A position scarcity play. When a top-12 TE is suddenly running first-team reps in two-TE sets, that's a tier change, not a blip.

This week's biggest fallers

Falling players are harder to act on than risers — most managers wait too long to cut bait. The signal we watch isn't a single bad week; it's a multi-week trend of declining snap share, declining target share, and declining ADP. When all three line up, it's time to move.

  • RB4 — Committee usage is now confirmed across three credible beat reports. ADP is finally catching up to what the snap counts have been screaming for a month.
  • WR5 — Air yards are down, target depth is down, and the offense added a rookie that profiles directly into his role.
  • QB6 — Schedule-adjusted projection took a real hit after a divisional shuffle. Streaming, not starting.

How we build this list

FantasyMover assigns every player a momentum score from three independent signals:

  1. ADP velocity — how fast a player is moving across consensus drafts.
  2. Projection delta — week-over-week change in our blended projection.
  3. Opportunity trend — snap share, route share, target share, and red-zone usage.

A player only makes the weekly report when at least two of those three signals are pulling in the same direction. That's how we separate real movement from random noise.
